    Is it necessary for receptionist to maintain the appearence of the office… and waiting area…

     Of course it is mandatory…like they say that 1st impression is the last impression,, the reception is like a window to the clinic and the patient spends quite some time there too…

     Also it is necessary to keep the area simple and clean…alive with soft music and magazines too

     definitely yes. receptionist should be very hygiene conscious and alert. the more cleaner and well maintained the reception room is the better it is for the patients.

    and the receptionist receives her salary not from the dentist but from the patients.
