REBASING RELINING–DIFFERENCE

I would like to know the difference in technique and material between relining and rebasing…even after reading few articles the only difference i found was the amount of acrylic removed in relining is about 2mm and in rebasing is about 5mm……….nowhere else any difference is measured
i would like to know clinically the exact technique for rebasing and if possible the preferrable material to be used
