    Plaque removal from buccal surfaces from brushing was poor and averaged 19% for 6-year olds and 30% for older children. The results of brushing for children aged 8–12 years could benefit from increasing tooth-brushing time.     Parents play a major role in motivating children of this age group for better oral hygiene..and then steps in the dentist who should be able to instill a positive dental attitude in the child right from his first visit..

    some children still used finger brushing technique……and that is totaly wrong…..parents should motivate them……..

    the market now has so many attractive toothpastes and toothbrushes too easily motivate children to adopt dental hygiene habits…a little initiative from parents and dentists could save them alot of trouble in the future
