Global Child Dental Fund (GCDFund) Initiatives for India: Advanced Dental Leadership Certificate Training and Richard Law Award 2015
The Global Child Dental Fund (GCDFund) is a UK-based charity whose mission is to ensure that the most disadvantaged children, from the most deprived communities around the world, have access to dental care and do not suffer from obvious dental decay in their lifetime.
In the pursuit of this mission the GCDFund is
- Building a cadre of senior dental leaders capable of effecting profound improvements to the provision of dental healthcare at local, national and global levels.
- Improving the oral health of the world’s most disadvantaged children through our Smiles & Hopes projects.
- Increasing social responsibility in the dentistry profession, particularly in the emerging generation of dentists and dental leaders.

Global Child Dental Fund, a UK based charity has launched a few initiatives
1. Advanced Dental Leadership Certificate Training
and
2. Richard Law Award 20151. Advanced Dental Leadership Certificate Training
An exciting new online leadership programme developing young dentists into first class leaders and advocates for oral health.

The four levels are:
Level 1 – personal development (available NOW!)
Level 2 – communicating the message (to be launched 2016)
Level 3 – getting the message right (to be launched 2016)
Level 4 – creating opportunities and platforms for Advocacy (to be launched 2017)The fees for the training is 40 British Pounds (Currently, 20 British Pounds as an introductory offer) per level.
2. Richard Law Award 2015
An award of GBP 250 (Approximately Rs 25000) to dental students in India. To be considered for the the award, a student must enter an essay competition and take up the Advanced Dental Leadership Certificate Training.
