    as majority of the tooth with root caries are subjected to extraction, i would like to know that, what criterias should be considered to plan a root carious tooth for extraction or rct

    we very frequently come across root caried teeth in geriatric patients ., ., there seems to be a subtle difference in coronal and root caries ., ., could someone also enlighten on the diagnosis of root caries ., ,. what are the clinically practicable methods to detect root caries ., .,

    if the tooth can be restored after RCT it should be saved. if there is a lot of gum recession and root caries than at times making a crown after endo can be a challenge.

    bitewing radiographs go a long way in detecting root caries.
