ALLPRO Imaging Introduces ScanX Quantumâ„¢ Digital Imaging Body And Dental Digital Images In One Compact System
ALLPRO Imaging, a leader in digital imaging systems, introduces the ScanX Quantum, the most compact and versatile system for community health centers interested in upgrading to digital. It is the only system capable of body images up to 14″ wide by any practical length and dental images in sizes 0-4. Made in the U.S.A., the ScanX Quantum is compact and lightweight (only 43 lbs.) and can be wall-mounted to save space. The system can be used for all human dental and medical radiography applications.
With the ScanX Quantum, there is no longer any need to deal with recurring costs of film, chemistry, darkrooms or processor maintenance. The ScanX Quantum is a computed radiography system; instead of traditional film it utilizes durable, flexible phosphor storage plates (PSPs) which are coated with photostimulable material. Upon exposure, the plate stores a latent image which is then scanned by the system. Its patented, built-in eraser has both manual and auto erase functions.
The ScanX Quantum is more economical than cassette based imaging systems and with the dental imaging capability, the versatility of this system is unmatched. This system will pay for itself in a short period of time. The ScanX Quantum operates in normal room lighting and its compact design features a high-strength, extruded aluminum exterior. Sturdy, rubberized feet add stability.
Workflow with the ScanX Quantum is very similar to that of traditional film processing and it can be operated with the existing X-ray system. Set-up is quick and simple and since the procedures are similar to traditional film processing, it’s easy to train staff members. The ScanX Quantum may be used with the digital imaging software you choose. The user can easily enhance details on a computer and images can be enlarged, magnified, inverted and sharpened unlike traditional film. Images can also be digitally filed for easy retrieval or shared with other professionals.
