Nodular fasciitis is a reactive, non-neoplastic, myofibroblastic lesion that is thought to be a response of tissue to injury. Microscopically it mimics sarcoma, so accurate diagnosis is important to avoid over treatment. It has been reported at all anatomical sites, but is most common in the upper extremities.sometimes nodular fasciitis affects the soft tissues of the cheek.
