A 23yr old male patient complains of pain in lower right posterior region since one week..Clinical examination revealed deeply carious 47 POP +ve which definitely requires root canal..An IOPA was taken which revealed a mesioangularly impacted 48 which is not seen clinically..My doubt is should i ask the patient to go for disimpaction first and then root canal or vice versa?

depends on wether the caries in 47 is invoving d pulp?if it is then rc first and then disimpaction.disimpaction toh kar hi.rc kab karna hai ye depend karta hai uska pain ka reason pe.bt if caries is nt involving pulp d tenderness cud be because of d 3rd molar tryng to erupt which might be pushing onto 47.so then first u will hv to do disimpaction.aisa mujhe lagta hai.
