With implant dentistry growing in leaps and bounds in India. There are many clinics and clinicians who still shun the idea of Implant dentistry.
Though many clinicians have started on implant practice, many are still afraid ( Fear of Unknown). or are just plain not interested.
I think it is high time that this misunderstanding or mindset should change.

I think unless a dentist acquires a certain degree of skill and has acquired some reputation in the locality only then he should introduce implantology in his practice.

Besides there must be sufficient number of motivated patients in his practice. What I feel is that if the patient cannot use an oral irrigator after implants or is not motivated or is plain lazy to use an oral irrigator , implants must not be done for such patients.

Comments invited for and against the above mentioned.

    Regards,

    Dr. Veerendra Darakh
