The use of GTR in larger defects Such as 1 1/2 wall it may collapse and main problem encountered with gtr is that the cementum formed is of cellular type. cellular cementum is not good for ancourage of the collagen fibres. we need acellular cementum which is possible with the help of EMDOGAIN ( Enamel matrix derivative)
