Hello everybody !!
Female patient . Age around 38 years.
Medical: Acidity . Taking medications for the same.
Anxiety. Sometimes gets palpitations during dental treatment. Physician has prescribed her anxiolytics for the same which she takes regularly.
She came to me for implants for LR6 lower right first molar and LL4 ( lower left first premolar).
LR6 implant has been already been placed and a prosthesis will be made after 6 weeks.
She does not want any other treatment to be done now. All her bridges have been made elsewhere.
I think I must not place implant in LL4 as from the radiograph it seems that the lower left canine is not non-vital and has a periapical lesion or a endo –perio lesion around it ?????
What does the forum think ?
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated .
Regards,

married with two children. Basically she has anxiety and she is a dental phobic.
however she is well aware of her problems and has considerable insight into her own state of mind.
Such patients eventually become one of our most co-operative patients.
She was given anxiolytics by her physician for some time. Now her physician has asked her to stop them.
She now takes them only before dental treatment sessions.
Many dentists miss out such patients who would like to get themselves treated but cannot do so because of phobia or anxiety.

Veeren
