Dr. Ashwin Jawdekar a regular contributor to DENTISTRY TODAY has recently published a book on CHILD MANAGEMENT IN CLINICAL DENTISTRY.
He has been kind enough to send me a sample copy.
The book is simple, easy to read, well illustrated, with plenty of clinical tips which can easily be implemented in any general dental practice.
The book is available at http://www.jaypeebrothers.com
I wish him all the best and look forward to many more publications in the future.

Children’s Dentistry is rarely accepted in general practice. Many reasons contribute to it. The most important being deficiency in our under graduate training in the field of Pedodontics. This is further compounded by lack of book/source relating to behavior management in dentistry. This most essential topic is covered by a small chapter in almost in every Pedodontics textbook, I have seen that are available in India.
This ambitious Endeavor by Dr Jawdekar is a great step in filling these lacunae.
This book systematically addresses the management of Child behavior right from first visit leading to successively molding of behavior resulting in delivery of proper dental treatment. It encompasses a unique feature; that is, every chapter concludes by opinions and alternative solutions by few eminent Pedodontists.
More highlighting is that he has presented the practical application of various behavior management theories, using his vast experience in this field .Over this entire book provides simple solution for day to day problems in field of Pedodontics, making its perusal must for every dental practioner.Dr Thejokrishna P
