Flexible dentures as most of us are aware of have been popular since past couple of years. There are no scientific studies on their clinical efficacy. I request you all to share your Clinical experiences regd this so as to get the evidence based results.

to put it in brief. they would work to an extent.

what is important is that u educate the pt. regarding their advantages and disadvantges and make sure that the pt. undertands it. I would advise any dentist to give it in writing.

this ensures that the pt. is able to get himself used to the denture.

the acceptance of the denture depends more on the leadership skills of the dentist than the technical skills.

I would prefer cast partial dentures more than flexible dentures.

these r my views and it is quite possible that others may have differing viewpoints.

    regards,

    Veeren
