Dear all eminent Implantologists,
Female patient / Age 45 years. Medical History :- Well controlled Diabetes. Physicians consent has been obtained for a minor dental surgery.
Tooth :- 1-6 (Upper right first molar)
Distance from the alveolar crest to the floor of the sinus is 6 mm. Distance from distal of upper right second premolar to mesial of upper right second molar is 8 mm .
I would like to place a D5 or D6 implant of length at least 8.5 mm or if possible 10mm.
What would be a better approach?
a) Sinus floor upfracture or
b) Vertical bone regeneration around the implant after keeping a few threads open.
c) Combination of both ( I don’t know if that is feasible , never done that before )
Hope to see a lot of responses and many thanks in advance for the same.
Regards,
Dr. Veerendra Darakh
