     You should take the patient in and provide immediate symptomatic treatment…

    one must realise that our priority is to relieve the patient of his pain..despite other patients getting irritated since it is a clinic and not a bus stand

    Also ensure that the receptionist or the operator himself explains this to the waiting patients politely..

     One can also ask the assistant or a junior doctor to take care of the patient…

     this problem also comes up when there is a trauma case. the communication skills of the clinician and the staff make the difference. 

     we also try and accomodate a pregnant lady patient as soon as possible. 

    Most of the time the other patients are very co-operative if they are explained properly.
