    Materials essentially consisting of :-

    a) Ceramic Filler (between 65-85%) (variations of Barium Borosilicate)

    b) Resin Matrice at the microscopic level makes up the rest (variatons of PGDMA – BisGMA, TEGDMA, UDMA) (Different resin matrices are supposed to increase the strength of the final finished product. Of this UDMA – Urethane Dimethacrylate is supposed to provide the best strength)

    c) Pigments are incorporated to create the shades.

All the above materials have minor variations in their parameters as regards :-

    a) Strength

    b) Flexural resistance

    c) Shade availability

    d) Shade Stability (This is a major variation and also a cause of concern)

    e) Method of polymerization

    f) Polymerization Shrinkage.

Few examples are ….. Ceramage ( Shofu), Tescera ( Bisco), Concept HP & SR Adoro ( Ivoclar Vivadent), Sinfony ( 3M), Gradia Indirect ( GC), Cristobal + ( Dentsply), Sculpture ( Pentron), belleGlass ( Kerr ), Estenia ( J.Morita), True Vitality ( Denmat) .
