Visit to a dentist for the dental appointment is rarely absolutely pain-free, and painful needle injections, dental drill at a blaring high pitch are good enough reasons to skip a dental appointment for those who have dental fear.

However, all these painful tools were used in the past dental treatments and today dental technology has improved a lot that one cannot even imagine. Now, it can be a very enjoyable experience visiting to a dentist. Due to the advancement of dental treatments and tools, pain-free dental treatment has been made possible.
Dental lasers, Air Abrasion, Denti Patch, and Sedation Dentistry are some of pain-free dental treatments available for the dental patients. It does not have to be painful if you get a quality dental treatment.

    Dental Lasers
In earlier days, dentists used to poke the tooth using needles or any other sharp tools. This was a really painful process that the patient used to go through. But these days, laser dental treatment that has been adopted by dental surgeons is absolutely pain-free.
Some lasers are used to examine the tooth, a beep in the laser indicates the presence of cavity in the tooth. Sometimes, there are very small cavities that are very difficult to be spotted by the naked eye of a dentist, so this is a very safe and an accurate method to spot those types of cavities.
Tooth tartar removal and deep cleaning can also be done with the help of lasers and even bacteria and decay are also targeted by these lasers. Without destroying the surroundings an damaging oral tissues.

    Air Abrasion
The scariest instrument at the dental office is the dental drill which makes a blaring sound and makes patients run away. But the technology has advanced instruments like dental drill with air abrasion.
The very small particles of aluminum oxide are used with a blast of water stream which attacks at the selective decay only, in the tooth. With the traditional dental drill, vibration and heat was produced – the main cause of pain to the patient.
This has been greatly reduced with the use of air abrasion tools. This instrument is limited only for the treatment of some small cavities, preparing teeth for fillings and getting rid of stains on the surface of teeth.

    Denti Patch
Denti patch is a band aid like device which is applied to the gums of the patients. It contains lidocaine (it diffuses out of the patch into the tissues of gums) and is anesthetic. It can also be used for the several regular dental procedures. Before giving an injection to numb the area, this patch is applied first.
Though, the pain-free dental treatment is a little expensive but it is the only way patients with dental fear will like visiting dentist.
