On 1 Jan 2013 O’hehir University was launched. The first on-line virtual international university specifically for dental hygienists to upgrade from a diploma/associates degree to a bachelors degree and soon a masters degree in oral health promotion. We now have students from UK, USA, Australia, Switzerland and Canada all collaborating and communicating in a virtual environment to improve their practice and their patient’s health.
