How to make the patients realise that they have to be brief with their dentist because our professional time matters a lot to us ? Few tips to handle such talkative patients without being rude to them——

make patient education booklets which will explain the procedure to the patients, instruction sheets, patient education softwares.

It may reduce the trouble if you hand out forms to fill, while they wait in the reception area
The form could contain chief complaint, past history, medical conditions etc.. and their signature along with other personal relevant details

kindly let me know the contents of the booklets to be given to patient

there cannot be any standard format of patient education booklets. the contents depend on the educational level of patients, their socio economic strata, choice and perceptions of the dentist, their language preferences , age group etc etc etc.

what will suit one waiting room will not suit another.

every dentist has to design his own reading material.

but there do general factors which can help in this regard
pamplets mentioning about the general rules to follow during the appointment time if patient has visited second time. Regarding importance of time,if required u can even cut short the talk from patient by politely requesting

first time definitely needs some time to be spend with patient which will help us to know the kind of patient
later, in the successive visits u can deal accordingly
