On the occasion, Head Dental Implant Centre, UT Chandigarh Dr R S Mann who rendered honorary services to the center informed Mr. Badal that this region lacked in the field of implant dentistry. He said that these kind of tertiary care ventures have certainly brought the advanced level dentistry within the reach of common man otherwise the dental implants used to be the treatment for the elite category only.
He further said that the Dental Implant would be provided here to the patients at “NO PROFIT NO LOSS†over the listed price of the company. The rest of the overall expenses like surgical procedure or the materials being used during the procedures would be provided free of cost by the SGPC to the patient. In this way the Nobel bio-care implant which costs Rs 30,000-35,000 in the private sector would be available to the patient at approx Rs 15,000/-.
Country Manager Nobel Biocare India Pvt Ltd, Mumbai Mr Sameer Bhatt said; “Less than 50,000 Indians avail implants each year, whereas the number of bridges done is over a millionâ€.
