In all my lectures I am constantly being asked as to how to go about making a website. I have compiles this text. I hope it is of some benefit to dentists.
WEBSITE FOR DENTAL SURGEONS
A website can be of great health in getting patients. However there are a few points which the dentist must understand before he must invests in a website.
Ø He must have adequate knowledge of softwares used to make web pages.
Ø He must have adequate knowledge of hardwares, server space, hosting requirements etc.
Ø He must have concept of marketing the site.
Ø He must be able to keep costs under control.
To begin with a dentist must just decide whether a website is really going to help is practice.
Are there sufficient numbers of internet users in his practice?
What does he hope to achieve with his website.
Does he know would website developers who can develop his website at a reasonable cost?
There are infinite numbers of things which a dentist can do with his website. It depends upon his creativity. To begin with first decide what content you want to put up on your site. Keep the content ready. You may output to put up the content on the free web pages available on the net.
Decide what colours, decoration, special effects you want to give on the site. The next step is it book the domain name and server space. The domain name must be unique and must reflect your core competencies. The server space must be worked on a fast and reliable server. Besides the site must contains the contact details of the practice, timings etc.
