I would request someone to throw some light on SERIAL EXTRACTION in children…the age at which it should be done and most importantly when is it indicated

i have read about the protocol to follow for serial extractions…age is mixed dentition when a child appears with permanent 1st molars,and ALD is 5 to 5.5mm per quadrant or 10mm in each arch

i dont know about retention means aftr this serial extraction…..(cd4)are the teeth extracted…………i guess we dont need any retention following extraction
