The Egyptian Society of oral implantology ESOI in corporation with Seville University, Spain and Dental Smile educational center proudly announce the launch of the Diploma in Implant Dentistry in Egypt awarded by the Seville University, Spain
REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMA CERTIFICATION:
The Seville dental implant diploma Certificate examination is comprised of two sections. The first section is a written examination and the second section consists of case presentations and case defense.The examination is comprehensive, covering topics such as collecting and assessing patient data, preparing and presenting a patient treatment plan, implementing patient treatment, and maintaining the effectiveness of the dental implant treatment.
The Diploma exam measures the in-depth knowledge, proficient skills, and abilities of practitioners to provide comprehensive, safe and effective oral implant care for the public.
Candidates must pass the Part I written examination prior to taking the Part II case presentation portion of the examination.
The Part I Examination is a written examination consisting of 100 multiple choice questions; Candidates are given 2 hours for the section. Candidates are not allowed to bring any electronic devices, bags or other extraneous items into the examination room.
Part II of the examination requires the submission of 5 documented implant cases for diploma board review. The Part II Examination consists of two components: preset scenarios and submitted cases completed by the candidates.
The first component consists of candidates rotating through a series of stations with pre-set cases in which they will be questioned about by two examiners.
Candidates are given time to review the cases prior to the examination in a secure area.The second component is where the candidate will defend their submitted cases. Examiners review the candidates’ cases prior to the examination and will choose 3-4 cases the candidate will defend. No prior notice will be given as to which cases are chosen.
