Precise impression making is the basis for any successful prosthesis.In implant dentistry,it helps in achieving the goals of transferring the exact position and proper, acurate replica of the biologcial tissues for positioning of implant fixture,hence obtaining an accurate prosthesis and a good emergence profile.
Ist Stage:-In achieving accurate,passively fitting prosthesis is reproducing the intraoral relation of fixtures with an impression.
Each implant system has its own set of machined impression copings to the stone cast.The impression / transfer the position of the implants and an impression is made of the coping.
I think above lines simplifying the procedures of impression making for emerging implantologists and other clinicians.

precise impressions are needed for any prosthesis whether implants, FPD, RPD.

no prosthesis can be successful without precise impressions.
