What about the polyacrylic acid from gic which is more irritating to pulp than the shrinkage in composites..
Why to use so many dissimilar material rather than using single material creating good integrated bond.. when the science and innovations permits and allow us to use materials /composites in predictable way.

Although the sandwith technique has proved its utility and predictability in durable composite restoration , the time has changed so the techniques and material science ,which led to the fact that there is hardly any need to use glass ionomers as base before placing composite restorations.
There is predictable bond between the dentin and the composites leading to successful restoration even in reversible pulpits situations … If bonded well and protocol followed ..

As far as porcelain veneers are concerned a dual cure or light cure luting is preferred over self cure like relyx lute2.
Veners do very well in clinical situations provided all the protocols are followed strictly. Right from prep design ,retraction, impression making, lab mock ups, provisional, try in with water soluble cements of same shade that of the prosthesis or transparent, etching of veneers, then final cementation .
Any luting cement which is light cure or dual cure will .

sorry docs since i was out of the town and busy with some medical emergencies , i could not reply to you.
well getting back to the topic , the patient had presented to me obvously with the mobile unit of the bridge .
after doing all the examinations it was quite obvious that i have to remove all.
To my surprise it was just a job of10 min to get everything and implant.
site was deeply curetted till i could see the fresh bone without granulation.
Obviously patient has lost hope with the implant therapy .
He says “THIS IS THE NEW TOOL OF DENTISTS TO DIG OUT MONEY FROM OUR POCKET,I WOULD RATHER GO FOR COMPLETE DENTURE THAN TO FOR SUCH EXPERIMENTS”
Although the patient is over reacting but this would be senario if we are not cautious to perform concious effort to perform any procedure in dentistry.THE SCIENCE WIILL BE BLAMED FOR THE FAULTS OF THE OPERATOR
