    C Factor

it is a problem if not appreciated and attended to at the time of the restoration. That is the reason why most of the addition dentist ( two types of clinicians . Subtraction dentists) believe in layering technique and follow the herring bone pattern at the time of layering. This ensures that the restoration lasts longer and patient does not experience any discomfort like hypersensitivity.  It takes five mins more but look at the positive aspect of this.

    A Dilemma….

I will reserve my vote on the above poll.  I entirely agree with people who have voted for post and core. It will be prudent and conservative and economical for the patient .Need to know the amount of tooth structure and it’s health. Ferrule effect if not present could it be done. Check the periapical for any pathology, if things are favourable then be conservative and place post and build up the core.  One needs to check the longevity of the procedure that is being done.

Precautions to be taken and on what basis do we carry out immediate implant placement or defer the same?

It is prudent not to involve too many interfaces thereby reducing the chances of error. Keep it short and simple
