Hi everyone, I’ve been researching treatment options for ongoing tooth pain and came across the use of cbct scan london before complex dental procedures. From what I understand, this type of 3D scan helps dentists get a much clearer view of the tooth structure, especially when dealing with hidden infections or tricky root canals.

Has anyone here had a CBCT scan before treatment? Did it make a difference in diagnosis or results? I’ve read that some specialist clinics in London use advanced imaging to plan treatments more accurately, which sounds reassuring especially for cases that are not straightforward.

I’m curious to know if it really improves success rates and whether it’s recommended for all patients or just specific cases. Would love to hear your experiences or suggestions before moving forward with treatment!

well, what i feel ideally speaking when a tooth is indicated for RCT, it should be started with cbct. But when taking out considerations like the added costs, time, distance and motivation for the patients, it’s genuinely a great tool for success, particularly for dentists having inhouse CBCT that really helps for immediate diagnosis and treatment success.

so, in practical scenario, for a tooth like molars i would genuinely prefer and mandibular premolars where anatomy is under doubt thorugh radiographs, i would definaltely advice for starting with cbct and then root canal treatment.

one more addtional thing, not many knows, but it also helps in further planning after RCT as well. so understand patient needs and follow the process.

    thank you.
