Govt promises action against Beed college
DP Sawant, the minister of state for education, met with the students of Aditya Dental College in Beed on Wednesday and reassured them that the government will take action against the college within seven days. If found guilty, the college will be derecognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI), he said.
Apart from the first year bachelor of dental surgery (BDS) students, second and third year students have also complained against the college to the government authorities.
Jayant Jain, president of the Forum For Fairness in education that is fighting for justice for these students said, “The government should come out with a decision as soon as possible so that students do not lose out on their studies.”
